It’s all about the process

  • Let's Talk

It all begins with an idea. We chat via email and phone about what you might be looking for. Size, subject and budget are all good places to start.

  • Get Inspired

Let’s make your idea come to life by sourcing visuals that help solidify the vision. We’ll concept on ideas to find our basic subject and composition. Sometimes I even create an iPad sketch to present color and style details before painting.

  • Color the Canvas

Let the fun begin! Mixing and swirling and smooshing and splattering are all words I live by. If requested, I’ll share a sneak peak mid way to make sure we’re on the right wave length.

  • Deliver

I’m currently painting from Hawaii but will coordinate shipping to the mainland. I sign each painting and am happy to frame it for you upon request. Shipping costs vary but it’s not as expensive as it would seem. ; )

Commission Stories

  • Palm Springs

I’ve painted a number of Palm Springs paintings and this poolside retreat with the breeze wall was #1 on the list. If you have a home in the Palm Springs area, let me just say I’m jealous!

  • Peaches for the Pietsch's

When I met with this family to talk about subject for a painting I was surprised to find out their last name was pronounced “peaches.” They already have one peach painting that want to pass down as an heirloom to one daughter but they need another one for their youngest daughter. So 4 peaches for the Pietsch’s. ; )

  • To Have & To Hold

This is an iPad sketch I did for a client before I painted on canvas. She and her husband got married in a Botanical Conservatory and wanted to remember their special day with her wedding bouquet inside the beautiful space. I created this unique composition and painted it at 60x54.

  • Larger than Life

This mural was something from a storybook. I worked with the interior designer and homeowner through a process to create something playful yet sophisticated to match their growing family. What was going to be wallpaper became a one of a kind art piece.
